NLP Practitioner

Learn NLP by Experiencing It, Practising It and Applying It

NLP Practitioner is our core professional NLP training programme.

NLP Practitioner

Over six highly practical training days, you'll explore how people communicate, create meaning, develop patterns of behaviour and make changes — while developing the skills to apply NLP effectively in your own personal and professional life.

This isn't a course built around watching presentations and memorising techniques.

You'll experience the models, see them demonstrated, practise them, receive feedback and progressively develop your own flexibility and confidence.

Who Is NLP Practitioner For?

People come to NLP Practitioner for many different reasons.
You may work in coaching, healthcare, leadership, management, training, education or another people-focused profession.
You may want to become a professional NLP Practitioner or incorporate NLP into work you already do.
Or you may simply be fascinated by communication, human behaviour and personal development.
You don't need to arrive knowing NLP.
You need to arrive curious about people and willing to learn through experience.

What Will I Learn?

The programme develops practical skills across four interconnected areas.

Communication

Develop greater awareness of verbal and non-verbal communication, rapport and how different people can create very different meanings from the same experience.

Language

Learn how questions can uncover missing information, challenge assumptions and open new possibilities through models including the Meta Model and Milton Model.

Patterns & Change

Explore how patterns of thinking and behaviour are organised and experience practical approaches including anchoring, reframing, strategies, sub-modalities and timelines.

Outcomes & Coaching

Learn to explore outcomes, resources and possibilities while developing a structured approach to helping people create useful change.

Throughout the programme, the emphasis remains:

What do I notice? What feedback am I receiving? What could I do differently?

Two Modules — One Learning Journey

Module 1 — Building the Foundations

The first three days establish the core principles and practical skills of NLP.
We'll explore rapport, sensory awareness, outcomes, state, representational systems, anchoring, strategies and other fundamental NLP processes.
Most importantly, you'll begin using them rather than simply hearing about them.

Module 2 — Language & Change

The second module builds upon those foundations.
We'll explore language, reframing, resources and change processes, including the Meta Model and Milton Model, while bringing the different elements together into increasingly flexible practice.

The aim isn't simply to know more NLP at the end of six days.
It is to become more observant, more curious and more flexible in how you work with people.

How Will I Learn?

NLP is an experiential subject, so our training is interactive.
Expect:

  • trainer demonstrations;
  • practical exercises;
  • working with other participants;
  • discussion and reflection;
  • feedback and coaching;
  • opportunities to apply the models to real situations.

Training is delivered live online via Zoom, allowing you to participate from your own environment while retaining the interaction and practical experience of live training.

Practitioner Certification

Successful completion of the programme leads to NLP Practitioner certification with the Society of NLP (SNLP).

The training also provides the foundation for progression to NLP Master Practitioner, where the principles and models are explored at considerably greater depth.

Why Train with Balanced Approach?

We have been teaching NLP for many years, but our approach hasn't remained frozen in the past.
We teach the classic models of NLP while encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, feedback and flexibility.
We don't believe becoming an NLP Practitioner means collecting an ever-larger toolbox of techniques.
It means becoming better at noticing what is happening, asking useful questions and adapting what you do in response to the person and situation in front of you.

That is the spirit in which we teach NLP.
